Typography

Letters

Clare Youngs  is one of the most original craft authors working today. She has a great eye, and her books are full of items you actually want to make. This one is full of cool projects to bring a touch of typography to your home. Letter Art  has simple projects, using inexpensive and easy to find materials , so that you can craft letters to hang on walls, to print onto paper or wood. You can form 3D shapes, personalize pebbles or make fairground art.

There are letters formed from old coffee sacks, concrete, corrugated card and string.

There is a modern take on a super large letter lit up with LED lights.  One of my personal favourites is Industrial Style cut outs, previously used for stencilling on Tea chests.

All the projects are clearly explained with step-by-step art works and there is a clear and easy to follow, tools and techniques section.
